Barrie Dragon Boat Festival
 In Support of Barrie Public Library
  Heritage Park, North Shore of Kempenfelt Bay
  Lakeshore Drive, Barrie  
  Barrie Public Library and Diamond Dragon sponsor, Kings Buffet, are continuing a new tradition based on a centuries old one.  The Dragon Boat Festival is a summer event that promotes community spirit, vitality and unity.  Paddling together in harmony to enrich the quality of life for the citizens of Barrie. Since the inception in 2003, the Barrie Dragon Boat Festival has raised over $600,000 for more than 60 charities alongside the Library. 

The Barrie Dragon Boat Festival has strived to be inclusive as possible. There has been many special needs paddlers such as the "Catulpa Conquistadores" (Autistic paddlers) and "Rumball's Rowdy Rowers" (Deaf paddlers), "White Owl" (Deaf paddlers) as well as teams supporting special needs charities and organizations such as "PODS" (Parents of Down syndrome) and "Barrie Nissan Muscle Movers" (Muscular Dystrophy - Simcoe County Chapter) and "Pirates of Epilepseas" (Epilepsy Simcoe County).

  Going Over the Edge for Children with Physical Disabilities!
  175 Bloor Street East, North Tower

  Join 85 Drop Zone Toronto Superheroes as they push their comfort zone to new heights for Easter Seals Kids by rappelling down 16 stories from the top of a downtown office tower at 175 Bloor St. East (North Tower).

Ride, Stride, or Glide for Autism
  Help support families living with Autism Spectrum Disorders
  Thistletown Regional Center
  51 Panorama Court

  Bring the whole family to this fun event and help the Metro Toronto chapter of Autism Ontario continue supporting families of people with Autism Spectrum Disorders in our Community.  All participants will be cycling and/or walking along the Rowntree Mills Park trail.  Funds raised will help to continue subsidies for autistic children to attend summer camp, for parents and/or professionals to attend a course/seminar in the topic of autism, and for continued advocacy in the GTA.

  The Brain Injury Association of Waterloo Wellington, in conjunction with the Ontario Brain Injury Association is hosting the 2007 Provincial Acquire Brain Injury Conference.  This conference will be of special interest to professionals in the ABI rehabilitation but there will a stream of workshops being offered for survivors, their families, and their caregivers.
